People using Cross Faction Players to kill other players

I was questing in Durotar when I came across two horde players Oouo , and Spacely being helped by a gnome mage who was killing other horde players in their questing area. I got on my alt and killed him, but I am not sure if this is something that should be allowed. What are the communities thoughts on the matter?

I did this is retail. Especially nasty if one or both factions can track humanoids and in high density areas such as STV. ...Uh, forget I mentioned anything...
