If you would like this to occur then it would be best to copy C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft Classic to C:\World of Warcraft Classic and then copy C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft Classic to C:\World of Warcraft Classic and have it overwrite any files. This will make a copy of your existing installation to C:\World of Warcraft Classic and it will have a working WDB/WTF folder. You may then use it instead of your old installation.
You can also just run wow as an administrator instead of moving the install directory out of program files.
Right click the shortcut > Properties > check off "run as administrator"
You will still have to do the second part of what Snow240 said (copy the files from your user directory to the install folder).
