Restoration Scandal?

by bajavi » Wed May 13, 2015 8:45 pm

Dear members,

As you all may have noticed, the restoration of items according to the rules and several messages from the gamemasters (in-game and on forums) is not possible. I'm here to tell you it is possible, and the GM's do it for a small case of players. I lend my account to a friend who I thought I could trust for a couple of days at the end of March. We had a fight afterwards about something outside of WoW and he deleted all my items on my account. I made an in-game ticket if restoration of items is possible in my case and at first they said no. After waiting a lot and sending multiple messages back and forth (where I sometimes had to wait weeks to get a reply by the way...) I got my items restored. I had a friend who was in a similar situation as me, and I provided him with the screenshots of all the in-game and forum messages of my conversations with the GM to get a restoration. He didn't get his restoration and then they told him they would reverse my restoration. They probably would be scared more and more people would start asking for a restoration, since some people seem to get one even if rules and GM say no. I'll provide now the screenshots and a video of my restoration so you can see the whole story for yourself:

Above is an album of all the conversations I had with GM's.

Here is the video of me getting my items back, most important part I think would be Viper saying I have to thank Igen, another GM for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRc8RqTOx4I (720p and fullscreen, bad quality SORRY!)

So yeah, rules state it's not possible. GM's say publicly on the forums it's not possible. But behind the community's back items get restored. This was coming to light since my friend posted all the proof I had and here was the message he got: http://i.imgur.com/VdkLhXH.png

"As a consequence, we will take actions with the character Bajavi to revert what we did as much as we can, one week after the restoration." -Daemon

Seems they're pretty mad I sent this proof so other players got some bargaining power to get a restoration.

To GM's: Ban me, revert the restoration, I don't care. Like I even play on this server anymore AKA waiting in Ironforge for BWL to release. You're all a bunch of abusing gamemasters trying to cover your tracks now. Igen was the only GM though who helped me. I hope this message will be the start of getting the rules changed and making restoration possible in all cases, cause playing for 20 days to get all your shit deleted like that. NOT FUN!

PS: Sorry for scamming 2 players with arcanite xmute. Not you Monkeynews though, you're an asshole (thanks for the bar).

That's not the point. The point is they give favourable treatment to some players.

So they say sorry for the mistake and revert the restoration, and you find that a good reason to start a forum thread complaining about corruption? Digging a bit deep here aren't we?

Also no messing with mnews please he has done nothing wrong ( except when he ganked me in thousand needles at lvl 30 that was rude as fuck :_: ).

Hi,

To sum up the situation, we do not allow any character or item restorations, or under very strict conditions specified in our terms of use. Our rules are very clear about that now.
Some players recently reported that case and we concluded that it was not fair because we always refused other characters or items or password restoration (Note that this case was slightly different because the character had not been removed).
That is why we finally decided to take action to remove the added items if possible.

To GM's: Ban me, revert the restoration, I don't care.

Now that we have a written agreement to ban the account, the character "Bajavi" will be permanently locked. This is the best we can achieve to revert the restoration we should *never* have done.
