In my opinion, we are more than holding our own on Reddit (both WowServers and VanillaWowServers), I even have the feeling (please, don´t laugh) that we already attracted MORE players than we can handle on launch
I expect thousands of people and more-less regular server crashes during first couple of days :)

That is, the hype worked much better than I expected. Key problems now are server capacity/stability, handling of expected DDOS and especially low leveling content. Giving well polished/scripted experience to new players is crucial, and I hope devs will spend at least a couple of days testing and fixing, say, at least 1-30 content even further. That seems to be relatively small but very wise investment in the future.

So you mean that after dying from lack of population, the server will die from excess of population now? :(

This Reddit is Empty. Maybe someone can make a good post on it for Nostalrius.

Kinda, not exactly die but rather fail to reach it´s full potential in numbers (in the long run) which is, I believe, huge. If things go wrong, Nos will certainly "live on" with - god forbid! - couple of hundreds peak or some similar half-life amount. Is it what we want? =(

My point is that devs shouldn´t relax after, arguably, successful open sessions and very successful hype campaign. If we waste this pre-release moment on being drunk with success, we can pay for that by huge "subs" drop after newcomers taste low levels and get disappointed. And Kronos might be launching just in time for that...
