There are tons of people out there that offer their server IPs for ping checks. Just google for "ovh ping test" or something like that and you will find lots of stuff (http://forum.ovh.co.uk/showthread.php?8 ... -ping-test for example).

Meeting stones be utilized as summoing stones. While this is convinient and practical for some, this is a big turnoff, because it's not blizz like, it also encourages laziness and gives people an incentive to not travel outside in the world.

The "meeting stones" were available in Vannilla 1.12, you could queue up for instances by cliking on the stones. Some servers like Rebirth has enabled summoning using these meeting stones, although I've read only the group / raid leader could initiate these summons, still however a big turn-off.

I think it's good that kronos launches as well, since it's a "semi-fun" server with tons of laziness features. That way all the people always boasting to enable this shit get their own little server where they can play and have fun at, while the real boys play at the one and only blizzlike server

I for sure won't be playing on kronos, 10g max respec? good bye world pvp, tyr's hand etc. Enabling and supporting character transactions? good bye server ecconomy, welcome chinese gold farmers and character boosts.

Wonder if they even see it them self how redicilous that shit is, it's like allowing character boost to level 90, oh wait, blizzard already did that, and now everybody is quitting the game and starts to play at private servers. Can't wait til the new subscriber figures are released. Everybody I know barely plays retail anymore, and I like it. Blizzard wants everyone to come play their games, which means medicore quality at best. Can't target every player audience and deliver a good game to all audiences.

I'm certain the developers have implemented the functions that were added during the vanilla period

I am from south of Spain, and i had 22 ms , so stop saying bullshit, if you are from Germany or some site near to France, you shouldn't have more than 50ms.

To sum it up, Summoning features were _not_ part of Vanilla, 1.12 or otherwice, and should not be implemented as a feature on Nostalrius neither.

The only feature the stones had was to act as a "LFR" System, where people had to physicaly move to these stones in order to queue up for a specific instance at a time. This was their only purpose in Vanilla.

In TBC, Blizzard allowed these stones to be used as a means for summoning other players outside instances, this is encourages laziness and takes a lot away from the game. We don't want lazy! Keep it Vanilla, keep it clean

To be fair, nobody used these stones back in vanilla. Spamming the trade chat was just so much more efficient. The way they were in TBC made them at least somewhat useful.
Personally I don't care how they work here. There are much more important things to get right imho.
