everyone is different, but i play strictly for the social aspect. Probably the most fun I had was teaching our tank in WC, well, how to tank. :). Rather than everyone complaining "l2play" etc, people were very supportive which was great.

to get to mind numbingly boring end game raids that have all been mapped out for you by better players ten years ago?

anybody in this thread complaining about leveling are the players that cried and cried until each expansion since tbc became more shit than the last one with wotlk already taking the bad turns that would characterize cata, mop, and wod. streamlined stupid shit for morons

I don't know a single raider that came to Nostalrius for Molten Core, Onyxia, or even Blackwing Lair, and I know quite a few of them on this server. Everyone hates those three raids because they're boring as fuck, and are only a measure of "do you have KTM, do you have bigwigs, and do you have a pulse".

Most of them came here to experience a properly scripted AQ40, and all of them came here to clear Naxxramas. The reason why they chose this server over competition was because there was a strict and quick timeline established prelaunch which hasn't been adhered to, and it's difficult for guilds to leave because of the amount of time investment involved in vanilla (vanilla leveling is fucking boring and for a guild to leave to another server would mean they'd have to invest more time in ANOTHER boring as fuck grind only to be met with possibly a same situation on a different server) and corecraft isn't out yet, and we'd still like to kill a working Kel'Thuzad on a vanilla server.

Focus on a goal not just to level fast.

My personal likes is to dungeon grind for all the approppriate level blue dungeon gear i can have. Using guides and atlas loot to figure those out. Don't discount the occasional quest chain that has a good trinket or blue gear item or weapon upgrade.

I like to use rest bonus in dungeons to level that way instead of quest grinding same content over and over again; just put the character in a city or cities inn over night and that's the fastest way to get rest bonus.

If you want to work faction gains choose a human for the racial bonus then focus on questing only and no grinding. do as many quests as you can while they give you the reputation gains; as grey and green quests give less reputation gains then when they are red and orange. Not seen any guides strictly designed to get exalted by using quests and rep gains but if you grind and do to many dungeons you xp level with less reputation gains.

I level more then one character. I have a hunter dps that is my grinder and money maker. I have a priest healer cause that's what i mainly want to raid with. And i have a warrior tank/ palidin tank/ and druid tank i am leveling with dungeons only. I enjoy dungeon grinding and gearing and tanking; so thats what i do.

Others like to maky money and play the market.

some like to grind professions.

some like to go fishing and watch moevies and play music.

some like to raid but only raid and only hop on there toons at raid times....

some like to herb or mine.....

some like to cough pvp(personally i don't care for it.)

some like to rank up with there pvp. which if you have the stamina have good rewards....

some just like to be jerks..... oops....i mean some just like to legally go pvp and kill poeple at opposing faction spots.

some now are getting into streaming.......

sadly some like to do things that gets them banned... lol i sugest not doing those things...

I'm not complaining, I'm just stating how it is, plus I never use the official forums, so no I don't cry on them. Does it help that I think levelling in all expansions are also dire as well, I wish they made it difficult. But then we would have people like you, that find vanilla hard and would be unable to do it.

Levelling is also pretty streamlined in vanilla as well. It's people like you that don't understand that when vanilla was released, it was the most casual MMO on the market.

I'm sure this has been mentioned, but you just gotta take your time and have fun with it. I've been playing since the end of April (2 months) and I'm level 41 and I can say that this is the most fun I've ever had playing this game.

If you worry about leveling fast, you're gonna get burnt out, frustrated, and bored.

Do you have a second monitor? I find it very enjoyable to watch Twitch and interact with streamers while playing. Many of my viewers do this to break up the monotony of the level grind.

I stream Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 7:00 pm CST. Stop by and say hi sometime @ http://www.twitch.tv/blurplecat!
