A lot of gear in MC had placeholder models for a long time (up to 1.9 i believe?) including the t2 pieces that dropped in MC/Ony.

Any plans to replicate these placeholders or is that a little too blizzlike?

You can see a lot of the placeholder models in some of the oldschool vids, anyone notice the blastershot launcher in Grim: Path of blood? it uses a unique model which hasn't been seen since i think

The tier 2 eight-piece epic armor set drops primarily from bosses in Blackwing Lair. Early in the game, the set items dropped in Molten Core alongside Tier 1, but were removed in Patch 1.4. Tier 2 was readded in Patch 1.6 with the addition of Blackwing Lair. The tier 2 sets all had placeholder models, which were updated in Patch 1.9.
