A quick poll: Stability vs Numbers

Around an hour ago, the server reached 9000 players online. While an amazing achievement, it's not without its drawbacks; there is now a consistent 1-2 second delay on everything.

My question is a simple one: Would you rather the server be capped at 5-6k to improve stability, or put up with the delay so we're able to have 9k online at once?
