How do you level?

by Gergoth » Fri Sep 25, 2015 6:47 am

With the current population on the server I find it near impossible to level. I am lvl 32 and there are many hordes chilling in southshore, darkshire, ravenhill cemetery, lakeshire etc. They just wait for people to land from their flight.
My question is how do you even try to avoid this. Do you farm in secluded places or continiue to try questing?
For a person that is able to play 2 hours from monday to friday and one whole day during weekends.
Any tips for such players? I just want to level my paladin to 60.

It will take you 2-3 months to hit 60. I have the same amount of time I can play. Thank god I didn't have a job/any responsibilities while I was leveling and I got to 60 in 3 weeks, playing 16 hrs/day. So either take a vacation into wow or deal with the fact that this is vanilla and it takes a month to level to 60 if you play casually.

Also at level 32 you should head to Desolace. There are a few quests there, notably the centaur rep quest, so you can grind and quest simultaneously.
The pizza level in my bloodstream is dangerously low.

Try to outlevel a bit the zones where you are questing. Most of the time the other faction will not gank you if they are not a higher level than yours.

If you are having trouble move to other zone. Usually at any level you can get quests in several zones.

How clever ... you are probably one of those waiting the grey players at the flight masters.

Grind in very far away spots and random places nobody ever thinks to go to. Consistent XP and no getting ganked, only downside is its boring as all hell and slow.

There are a lot of hordies atm, and you will have to wait/group for some quests if you want to get a tag on a mob to get said quest item.

Despite that i found the that the best way of doing so is quite simple and straight forward, and doesnt have to be long at all (in terms of /played time).

Follow these steps and you will profit:
1) Open you web browser and go to google.com
2) Type in the search box "wow vanilla leveling guide"
3) Take a pick from the list of guides that pops up, there is one that is listed very often (search bot much lol)
4) Follow guide, level to 60 in 3-5 days played depending on class (and alliance gankers).
5) Profit ??

Have fun :P

It's really not that hard... you won't hit max level in 3 days like any monkey can on official WoW today. Just take the time and enjoy the game. You will only level once on your character, remember that.

And some pro-tips: Keep your head on a swivel in contested areas. You'll be surprised how much spatial awareness will save your ass. Most of the time, people will just leave you alone... but maybe not in certain areas like Searing Gorge and Stranglethorn Vale are a couple of the worst ganking zones, so just go somewhere else if it really bothers you that much.
