Alliance Leveling 30+

having a vast amount of trouble leveling in STV at around 33 as alliance, it just seems that there are horde everywhere, as im getting ganked non stop, it seems nothing like blizzlike as this server is vastly populated, will the ganking lay off a bit as i level? or will i be stuck getting camped nonstop, any suggestions for other places to level?

Not Alliance, but my experience was similar. I've found that STV is the worst zone (just like Retail). It doesn't get much better though. As you level, you start bumping into zones where 60s actually have reasons to be (farming/rep) and now you're no longer grey, so even the kind ones don't have mercy.

It's better to simply bite your teeth and brute force through it. Or do dungeons. Every zone after 30+ is contested and with a pop this high you're going to get one-shot by 60s almost anywhere.

I actually had a lot of fun in STV. You have to go into that zone with the mentality that you are going to pvp and questing might get done. You may want to stick to dungeons or finding quiet grinding spots in Desolace for leveling. Like itwasfree said though, you're hitting a point where you're always going to be a target.

When you get to the level, Searing Gorge is a nightmare for questing. All the 60s making their pvp videos are there to show you how good they are. Try to avoid it. I had no problems with 60s in Un'Goro, Burning Steppes, Felwood, WPL, or Winterspring.

I honestly think you should be doing STV as late as possible in terms of levels which will make it easier and horde are less likely to gank you when you're a higher level than them.
I have leveled 2 characters on the PvP realm of Nost to 60 and I was able to quest elsewhere and enter STV at level 36-38 - you have the Kurzen quests to do which make the first few quests (and a good half a level) horde free. places to level in the meantime are Desolace, Hillsbrad/Alterac, Arathi. The quests in Hillsbrad are especially good as the quests for horde start at round level 20-25 and for alliance at level 30, so they are too scared to gank you, there.

you have no idea of how much horde gets ganked compared to alliance. in like every area, starting at hillsbrad. i leveld 2 chars on alliance and got barely problems with ganking horde. but lvling a horde toon is just a pain. seems like every second alliance player is a little pussy who kills on sigh with their weak 60s because they are shit in pvp on same level!

I found quite a few, especially in Desolace and Feralas. The mobs you grind aren't the best, but they aren't for quests or in spots that have a lot of foot traffic. I was pretty much completely alone for 2 whole levels in Desolace.

Im leveling my Priest, and I was getting ganked in Desolace and Arathi twice as much as in STV.

There's no avoiding ganking, it's going to happen. If you have friends that are 60 (or a main) you can teach them a lesson, and they'll stop bothering you soon enough.
