- Thread about Grizzly being cheaters.

- Thread about NOPE being cheaters.

- Thread about so-&-so duping/hacking.

- Thread that is a vaguely veiled attempt at "dethroning" Nostalrius in order to prop up Kronos.

Guys...and gals of course. We are in this together.

We need to be working together, putting in reports, and making strides towards the betterment of the server we've all chosen to work at for the long haul. If a boss script goes haywire, we can't point fingers, lay blame, cry foul. We need to get in communication with the devs, made a conversation, affect change. Right now is such an important time in the life of the realm, and we're handling it...badly. We want a blizz-like realm, but as stated before, the players are not blizz-like. You know what else isn't blizz-like? The people who run this server. They are making do with what I imagine is a limited and not near compared to what Blizzard had resources to make this project run, and so far I'd have to say it's impressive.

Boss scripting and the like needs to be worked on. The bugs need to be ironed out. GMs need to refine their approach to communication over issues and how they handle things, but we as a community can only do one thing to properly do our part...keep calm and don't degrade in to old 4chan.

We aren't all on the same faction or in the same guild, but we are all here on this realm, and we all want it to work. So let's make it work. Let's discuss things as friends and companions because that's what we are. We're mates...and we're on an adventure together.

So that list above? Let's stop doing that stuff. It just makes us look bad. Let's show the other impending vanilla realms and the general populace keeping a close eye on Nostalrius that we can roll with the punches/bugs/scripting errors, and we're all united in our effort to make this the best vanilla environment we can, because before going live, it's already pretty damn close. We, the players, have to be the ones to close that rest of the gap towards perfection.

I don't even understand all the vitriol so I have no comment and nothing to offer. I get people are serious about this game. To me it's just that, a game.

Generally speaking, I tend to try to understand what people are saying and where they are coming from and hope to sympathize with their position even if I don't agree with it. But...I seriously don't even understand all the ugliness and to me it just looks like ugliness.

There are voices of reason and reasonableness...and OP is a fine example of just that.

There has been no proof that anyone is cheating with the exception of a twitch posted about NOPE and a possible exploit. Every other thread has been he said/she said. If anyone is so certain that someone is cheating they should be able to prove it, otherwise it's just rumors. It's pretty silly.

the only people who can make broken shit work are the devs. I'm not a dev. they said MC scripts were perfect, then released a server with bugged MC scripts. they don't need a fucking bug report to know that, they need a brain. and I can't give them a brain. whitekidney said he could exploit the server and attempted to sell gold. he wasn't banned. because reasons. one GM gives a guild loot that shouldn't exist, another won't. that's incompetence. there is a systemic approach to this server that goes beyond mere bugs (of which there are obviously many, some very fundamental). the fact is the devs released a server that is not at all what they said it would be. there are only two reasons this could happen: 1) they are liars, or 2) they are incompetent. no "banding together" can change either of those things. adjust your expectations accordingly.

The problem is that your definition of "cheating" is not universal. There used to be an extremely common argument back in the real vanilla days about what constitutes breaking the ToS, or just simply counts as "intelligent usage of game mechanics". In this case, these are server issues that they aren't choosing to run in to, they're just getting by with what's there, like I imagine any guild would do in their position.

These guilds worth mentioning right now have run in to weird stuff, and it's not like they aren't communicating with GM's to fix that weird stuff. I'm sure the GM's are in constant contact with members of these guilds.

I think really the point is, you need to start focusing on your own character, instead of people you don't know or aren't affiliated with. Don't try to bog others experience down, focus on creating a good experience for everyone by doing your part.

Maybe people would be less inclined to call them cheaters if they weren't claiming to have downed Rag legitimately when it's clear that he is bugged to hell and back. Maybe people would be more trusting of the server staff if they acknowledged all of the shit that is blatantly broken (Rag, loot tables, hunter pets, a multitude of quests and events, talents of all sorts). My experience so far has been trying to find a time of day when it's actually possible to go out and grind without being crowded out or killed, wondering if getting to 60 will even matter because every mob worth farming won't be camped 24/7 by thousands of other 60s and then thinking why would I even bother when a few guilds are going to get handed raid gear for free while class balance is completely determined by who is more beneficially bugged. Oh, then I've also been watching GRIZZLY locks kill low levels/alts with banished infernals. That sure does inspire my confidence in them as upstanding people that certainly wouldn't abuse broken content and in the GMs as impartial arbiters.

Cuss you know getting the Legendary neck and stone guard and epic mounts and an onyx kill all in less then one month is TOTALLY legit guys no cheating i swear.
