That's like buying NWN1/2 and not getting playing any usermods because "I wanna experience true NWN hurr".

You said it best in a very smarmy way.

I am not saying to have this new stuff on release, but after existing content is completed by a majority of the server. New content that is done very well would promote players staying around, would give us something to look forward too.

Didn't even think about WC3 or Starcraft 1/2. Blizzard themselves openly facilitate custom content to these games (Starcraft Arcade anyone?) and some pretty awesome stuff has come out of it like the Warcraft 4 maps in SC2.

I get that you dislike the idea, but saying that it'd ruin NB is insanity.

The better way is to increase the progression until end of TBC. Not some amateur instances(you dont even know how much design it needs. hell even new textures.)

This has been done by the folks over at Modcraft which is a community devoted to modding the client. You can find tons of tutorials and ressources over there and they are working on their own world right now. Lots of really talented people and it blows my mind every time I go there.

We can enjoy true vanilla, and then when all content has been consumed, why not some creative and very well done new stuff that fits the lore? You know, like a private server expansion?

There is plenty of warcraft lore to go around.

and I sure hope they keep their word.
Long story short, I say we leave the custom content to those that are masters of the art, while Nostalrius keeps to the Blizzlike objectives, as they advertised.

None? I'd love this, but not on Nostalrius. Hopefully Corecraft does this during their vanilla project.

Lets hope corecraft just gets done with their TBC server...
