I would recommend just doing the good old forum threads highlighting each addon with a SS and a DL link for people.

If you did do the video format, do it by category. For example: in 1 video, you talk about (and show) all the different bag addons and their specialties. Requires more work for sure.

I'd really like if anyone ever figured out a vanilla alternative to Tidyplates threat plates that change colors on name plates according to agro and threat; used in tanking.

This is not achievable in vanilla.
Mobs have no ID.
You can only target through "name".

If you're talking about this...such mod is no way near to tidyplates as functionalities.
Mostly, a visual mod. (there is a version showing buffs/debuffs too).
