Sure, release content over the years.. but honestly, in 4 years from now will any of us playing RIGHT now still be doing the same thing, over and over, your gear can only get so much better. and honestly, i've seen it before servers die out after a year or two because there is nothing to look forward too, there is nothing to keep you playing, which is why blizzard themselves do not make legacy servers, Look at old school runescape , jagex HAS to add new content to it, otherwise people will stop playing, to relive the release of every expan to wrath would be amazing.

Play while you are still having fun, then move on. Some of us (maybe me...) will have fun for a long time with this. I put a lot of hours into Retail vanilla, a lot more than I ever put into the expansions. So far it is a good time and assuming the server stays up indefinitely, I will probably play indefinitely.

PvE ppl will leave in a year or 2. PvPers stay forever.

Pve ppl can rather hang around low lvl zones and welcome newcomers, or start pvping themselves!
