huh thats weird, I might have remembered wrong then. Still kinda weird to add that title in the pre-tbc patch instead of the AQ patch. would love if somebody could provide further proof.

Pretty sure the only titles in vanilla where PvP titles, Titles where pushed hard in BC not vanilla.

As someone who did it, and helped out a guild doing it on retail:

There was no Title in vanilla, just the mount.

And yes theoretically it is possible to have multiple "Scarab Lords" if they manage to complete the Quest within the preparations and turn it in while the Gong is rung the first time (10h to turn it in)

Yes, multiple people can get the mount (and title when it's added), it isn't an exploit or bug, it's by design, that's why there is a 10 hour grace period. On EU realms there was an exploit (or so you could call it) where they released a new server after BC came out, and a bunch of people xfered there to complete their AQ quest and 100s (1000s?) got the mount and title. Blizzard later made sure new realms had AQ event already completed.
