Besides, people shouldn't get upset about things random people say on the internet. We're all anonymous here, so racist, and homophobic slurs can't be targeted specifically at you unless you let them know who/what you are.

Props to the GM's, I say. Unfortunately we only see the small number of complainers on the forums, and not the 100's of people who's gaming experience is made more positive from these actions (myself not included as a member of the alliance).

Again, I must state that as long as nobody is specifically targeted ingame there should be no issues with people saying whatever they want. Do you know why? Because we're all playing an online game where our race/status in real life has no effect whatsoever on the game. There is no reason to throw a hissyfit over something someone said when you can just ignore them/leave the chat and move on.

All online games have a minimum ESRB rating of 13+, and parents should take responsibility not to let their 10 year olds play games unattended. Risque language is a part of any online experience, and the barrens chat has always been the epitome of that sort of behavior.

Even if you feel these people are racist or anti-semetic, the best way to challenge these ideas is to confront them with facts and honesty, rather than censorship. Onlookers are smart enough to know who the bigot is and that these ideas have no place in the real world. Censorship only fuels their hatred.

As far as death threats go, I don't even feel the need to explain how ridiculous that sounds when a random stranger who has no way of finding you in real life tells you they're going to kill you in a murderhobo simulator in a setting where there is literally a war going on.
