What rules apply to Dungeon BoEs?

Personally, if a BoE rare drops in a group, I say in chat something like "Hey, this would be a significant upgrade for me, do you mind if I roll need?" If they get pissy (which hasn't happened yet) I'll just roll Greed with the rest of them and be done with it, but generally I find people are willing to let you rill Need if you are polite about it and equip it right away.

Selling the BoE could potentially provide me with enough gold to purchase a BoE I need.

"Need" implies "need the item for my character", not "need gold". If someone claims they rolled Need for gold on an item my character actually needs, I'd politely ask them for the item. If they refused to give it to me I'd screen cap them and call them out as a ninja.
