DPS class ranking

Hunters need +crit (after they reach +9% hit).

Not sure about pre-1.4 gear, but in full MC gear they should go for about 20%/22% crit.
With raid buffs (and possibly a feral druud), they're going for around 35%/40% crit.

Even on feenix, with the retard melee buff-stacking shite, hunters perform well, at least till BWL (I only know about ED). Sure, they cannot compete with warriors...but was it blizzlike 2000ap and more than 50% crit during t2? Don't think so.

Clearly, with AQ, mage&ignites gonna be quite hard to beat, but I strongly believe hunters could put up a good fight even there (Earthstriker? Jom Gabbar?? anyone?)

Really, 90% of people posting here, imho, are tainted by feenix and dps chart there....
...they won't even consider how broken melee dps is, there.
So, all in all, say that hunters are shit dps, just cause the cannot top meter in Naxx, is bullshit. They most likely top meter in all lower tiers.

Even under ideal circumstances beyond blue gear hunters simply can't compete. I haven't been able to sim or find anything better than the shadow damage dog with a 20/31 spec, and just putting them versus other ranged dps is depressing (factoring in 100% IBS/Shadow Weaving Uptime, fully debuffed boss). They get a decent power spike with the easy to get leaf, but realistically a month or two into the server and hunters will get destroyed, buff stacking or not (hunters can stack buffs too on their pets, and huntards still can use mongoose+agi scrolls and exploit a little).

If you're going to top hunters as a huntard you have to literally be a better player than all the other dps in your raid and be trying harder. It's not just Warsong/ED where hunters get stomped. Even servers that have the incorrect agility and base crit conversions for hunters where having 50% crit in 8/8 t2 is possible they don't compete. The class just simply isn't as good as the options for pure DPS.
