Oh, now I understand. Didn't know OVH was an ISP.

Well, I don't think there's any need to experiment too much. They already announced they're working on a fix for the people trying to connect, so we'll see what happens. Until then all we can do is be lucky.

Good point. But hell, I don't plan on playing until they fix it legitly anyway so why not kill some time by expending some knowledge and sharing. :)

It's useful to know. :) At least we know they're not getting DDoSed, and looking at the people currently streaming from inside the game server, it looks smooth as hell.

Update 4:

In order to make this massively available for everyone to use, I would need an actual dedicated server from OVH. The VPS i'm currently using just doesn't have enough resource to handle the kind of traffic volume I'm anticipating. Funding for the dedi is an issue.

Update 5:

My buddies and I are attempting to smush our wallets together and get some funding for an OVH dedi server. We're still a bit short, but will update if we get it all together. Fingers crossed, let's get some more people connected =D

Update 6: Instead of going with a dedi server, we may just purchase multiple VPS's instead. Most cost-friendly than the dedi route. Would just be a matter of load-balancing multiple VPN server addresses via round-robin DNS. Will research a bit more into this theory and update later.

Ive been trying to log in for 3 hours
Only got connecting or authenticating and DC

Didnt even managed to make char

No clue what to do

Has there been any feedback from the GMs about this? Are they aware of it? Are they working on it?
