blizzard never did anything against Ninja looters... they rather implemented some new feature to prevent ninja looting... i think its where everyone gets loot for his class and specc....
Sorry but in vanilla it was always about trust... you have to consider that such thing might happen wirh random people in the group. Gotta find him and kill and camp with horde char!

You can't "steal" things in MC though, unless some random jackoff is somehow able to put together a raid himself that he's in charge of for ML, and then the first time he does that he will no longer have a raid. Not really a concern.
That's not to say that what he did wasn't wrong, but you're unlikely to get many people to care unfortunately.

I believe sometime in late WOTLK they changed loot rolls in dungeons so that you couldn't roll need on armor/weapon that your class can't use.
And then in MoP, they implemented Personal Loot, yes.

By the way Thanne is my friend. I have played wow with him since Beta of Vanilla. He did not "Ninja" the chest, he recruited people for the group stating that Emberstone Staff was reserved. It is you own fault for not reading or communicating.
I'm going to text him and tell him about this now, what a cracker! What sort of a cry baby goes to the forums about a lvl 19 blue staff. My God, I had 3 different groups ninja loot Van Cleefe loot paladins rolling on leather chests, pulling cookie and running out etc. How many tears did I shed? 0, how many people would have cared if I had? 0.
By the way, looked back at the screenshots. Quite funny that your dead, nobody else complaining or even saying a word, except the "?" after you accusing somebody of ninja looting.
And it is his only character, hes currently trying to catch our group up who are level 40~, note why he reserved the staff because he doesnt want to have to run it for a 5th time.
