Leveling Cooking w/o Fishing. Huge mistake?

You can usually level cooking easily by buying fish and other stuff off the AH for dirt cheap. I really wouldn't worry about it as Cooking is the fastest profession to level.

One last question, is cooking useful at 60 w/o fishing?
I'll be leveling it anyway since it makes grinding much easier. But should I consider picking up fishing to make it productive at 60?

Fishing takes time, like a lot of time. Since fish aren't soulbound there is honestly no reason to fish yourself unless you want to be self sufficient or make money.

If you really want to fish, more power to you, but it isn't like a herbalism/alchemy or skinning/leatherworking relationship, most of what you fish up you can't even use for decent food.
