That makes more sense. OP said prices were going up, which is not an effect that oversupply causes. I'd believe that they were dropping in price due to that however. So "fixing" DM North tribute runs will ironically cause major mana potions prices to rise.

Please don't give me the bullshit about Mages/Paladins/Priests/Warlocks being able to kill lashers in DME, even thought it is good gold, it doesn't even come close to what hunters were doing in DMN with regards to gold per hour, and it sure as hell doesn't involve soloing a boss which was meant to be killed by 5 players.

it's closer than you think

No, it definitely isn't. Trust me, I know from first hand experience.
I'm not gonna be a hypocrite and say the gold isn't good, but strat orb runs with an efficient group comes close, granted your luck isn't terrible.

I wrote about the effect hunters had on the economy and then followed it by an example with what has changed since the recent fix? I just edited the post to make it more obvious :p

Looks like tribute loot was nerfed too

from (2green + 3 blues) nerfed to (2 greens + 2 blues)

have no idea what the nost team are doing because it is supposed to be 3 blues (3 guards untouched)

Also there are x2 Mizzle the Crafty spawns

All you're doing is dragging people down to your level, just because you see them as special snowflakes and can't be one. People rolled certain classes to be able to do Blizzlike things in a Blizzard game. Hunters always had more gold than most and Mara is still more lucrative. Maybe if you whine enough they'll 'fix' that too...

Yes, that is exactly what's going on, dragging those special snowflakes down to our level. It's called balancing for the sake of the economy.
What do you mean by "I can't be one" though? I could reroll a hunter for the sole reason of soloing Tribute runs, like alot of people I know have already done, and in the end everyone would have to reroll hunter due to the insane inflation. You're kinda reinforcing the point I'm trying to make.

I gave an explanation in the OP to why I think that non-blizzlike fix was needed, and why you can't compare some aspects of the game to the game you played 10 years ago.
Private servers=/=Original vanilla servers. No matter how highly you value the "100% blizzlike feeling" you will never get it no matter which private server you play on, if it isn't the mechanics ruining it, then it's the fact that the community has evolved alot over the past 10 years.

Please try to see the bigger picture, instead of just the hunters POV. If the fun of soloing it was the main reason for hunters doing it and not the gold gain (which I highly doubt is the case) then they should make another solution to the problem, where you can still do it solo, but won't recieve the chest if only one person is zoned in for example, but I'll say it again, I highly doubt people are doing dmt multiple hours aday just for the pure "fun" of it.

If people wanted gold they would do Mara, at least that was my experience. I did DM N for the items, the chance for books, the mana pots, the pet food but most of all because it required a lot of attention and skill. If you look in the Hunter section you'll see hunters soloing a lot of things for the sheer fun and the expertise it requires.

And I'm sure within the next day hunters will still be soloing Dm N, all this fix has done is break the encounter for normal groups. What they could have done was link the King and Cho, and make sure Cho's mana regen was working. And add in that Blizzlike hyena pack. It would have slowed down the hunters to the point where it was no longer a viable gold farming option.

As for the economy, when you have 5k people and slow content it's always going to be inflated. The only solution would be to limit the amount of gold you can earn in one day. I'm sure if people whine enough about it, they'll implement this too.

I only make around 15-25g in the run if the drops are right, other times i make maybe 10-15g for the run. A flawless run takes 20-22 minutes with some pre-bis. I suppose 45-75g an hour might be a bit much and I wouldn't mind seeing cho linked to king gordok to make it a little more entertaining.

are you kidding me? some people been running DM north in under 10 minutes, thats 6 runs / HOUR.

make it 15g / run thats 90g / hour. 90G PER HOUR THATS INSANE.

here's one guy that do it in 9:35. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwC0MQ07Quc

There's something not right in that sentence. I'll let you spot it.
