Most demanded Classes / Specs for Raids?

Ive read that there arent many Tanks on this server. Is this true? Do you always get a spot as tank in raids or dungeons?

Is there a class standing out? prot pally prot warr or beardruid

Prot warrior is the tank masterrace in vanilla. Paladins don't have a taunt ability and can only really do AoE tanking (big packs) and are also great for undead dungeons, but you wouldn't have a paladin tanking a raid boss for example. Druids do have taunt and can do well as both a dungeon tank and an offtank for raids, but warriors are just #1.

As someone said before me though, tanks are generally not in high demand for raids since you don't bring 1 tank per 5 people to a raid like you would in a dungeon. You'll probably only have like 3 tanks in a raid (but also dps warriors bringing tank gear for bosses like garr), and most raiding guilds already have their tanks sorted.

If you dont want to worry about a raiding spot just wait for the pve realm to launch. Since its a fresh start ALL classes and specs will be needed there.

warlock is always needed in most guilds. if they're not now they will be in AQ/Naxx

I only ever raided with Lock on retail vanilla - cata.

Wanted to try something new, maybe i'll go back to my comfort zone.

The obvious answer is Shaman let's be real here. You want 8 of those in your raids.

Not really, you need at least a couple priests and druids and then that's way too many healers.

You need a shaman for each melee and healer group, and that's it. Caster groups don't really need one, nor do tank groups. So 4-6 depending on raid comp, which is still a lot but not in much higher demand than any other class.
