No, lets say I get belt of the ordained on horde side. I want to sell it to an ally so I put it on neutral AH for 1 copper then buy it with my lvl 5 ally dude. Then I want to sell it for 100g or whatever on ally AH to get the gold. Finally I sell a stupid item like spider guts for 100g on my horde char then buy it with my ally dude.
The bot stops this strat by buying the belt for 1 copper before I can get it.
If you want to avoid sniping you should put the item up for what it is actually worth. Thus you need your lvl 5 ally dude to have a buffer of gold.
When an item is put on the AH anyone can buy it. And even if the practice of sniping on neutral AH is on slightly shaky moral ground it would be ridiculous if Nostalrius staff would interfere with players just for making good deals on the AH. If they are botting, sure. But even a person sitting with the AH open and a decent addon will be way faster than most normal users.
