some ppl complain that they're being camped 24/7 and that they cant lvl up, but this guy already wanna quit for 1 death LOL
I never mentioned I wanted to quit. I enjoy playing the game, and some harassment from a player will not discourage me. If Nostalrius had never decided to create a PvE server, I would still be playing on the PvP server today, despite the frustrations. But because they have opened up this opportunity for people, I will take advantage of it to recreate my characters and have a better experience.
"not being able to choose when to do it is frustrating" LOL man up
I am very willing to go through difficulties to make progress in the game, I am simply one of the people who does not like PvP being forced upon us. This is quoted from WoWWiki: "Some players consider being able to play with no risk of random player vs. player combat less stressful. You can level and train skills without the types of interruptions listed below. Such disruptive practices like corpse camping, griefing, ganking can be exceedingly prevalent on PvP realms, many high level players may repeatedly and incessantly engage in these behaviors for no obvious reason other than that they can." I understand why many hardcore players might like the danger and unpredictability involved, as it does bring a certain excitement. I wouldn't mind it sometimes myself, it's just those moments when you're trying to focus on leveling does it affect your enjoyment of the game.
You can still choose in many situations, it simply won't flag you automatically, unless you go directly into enemy territory. World PvP would be less common, but still possible to join. There are also alternatives such as dueling and battlegrounds, which I could choose to participate in when I am ready to, without the stress involved.
u are not in a "FAIR" game, go play mario world
Perhaps, but I was referring to people's behavior in particular, not the fairness of the game as a whole. While some in a contested zone would like to engage in PvP as much as they can, there will be some who genuinely want to avoid that. In my case, I wanted to show the dwarf that I was not interested in conflict by moving past him. Instead of respecting a fellow player's desire for peaceful questing, he chose to kill me, at no benefit to himself. I bear no grudge against him now, it was simply frustrating at the time to know that he was unwilling to compromise.
That is a rude comment, one I would expect from discussing a subject like this. I do not wish to start an argument, but in the future please consider choosing your words more carefully, as they can be very offensive.
Best of journeys in Azeroth, and may nature bless you.
