If the probability that it will drop on a single run is 2%, then:

Probability to drop in 20 runs is 33.2%
Probability to drop in 30 runs is 45.5%
Probability to drop in 60 runs is 70.2%
Probability to drop in 100 runs is 86.7%
Probability to drop in 200 runs is 98.2%

A lot of failed runs does not increase your chance to get it next run, it's still 2% on each run no matter what your history is.

the chance that it doesn't drop for X runs in a row still is quite high:
50 runs (0.98^50 = 0.364 -->): 36.4% chance

0.98 = 98%
There's a 98% chance the item will not drop in the first run, multiply this with the chance the item will not drop in the second run:
0.98 x 0.98 = 0.9604 = the chance the item will not drop in 2 subsequent runs

now for 60 runs:

0.98^60 = 0.2975 = the chance the item will not drop in 60 subsequent runs

and vice versa:
--> 1 - 0.2975 = probability to drop in 60 runs = 0.7025 --> 70.25%

I barely see any fury warrior or rogue on the topdps lists on raidstats using ironfoe. Is it "nerfed" on this server, not as good in current patch or is it actually BIS currently?

its bugged on this server, on yellow attacks if it procs it uses triple rage dump (uses the rage required for an attack 3 times)

I was told that Ironfoe dosn't proc off yellow hits on this server. I got it on my 2nd emp run and I'm seeing proc rates of about 15% off white hits. Pretty difficult for me as a rogue to test if it's proccing off yellow or white hits.

I was farming Emp for HoJ, and I got Ironfoe before I saw a single HoJ drop.

Ironfoe dropped at about the 50th run, with HoJ finally dropping at around the 60th.

Drop rate is confirmed to be 0.61% from retail Allakhazam database. It should not be a 2% drop chance here (unless you are attempting to appease the server's players).

On this server I've killed emp maybe 15 times; saw three HoJ and one Ironfoe.

I've heard the same thing, that it doesn't proc on Heroic Strike or other yellow damage melee abilities.

Maybe related, Windfury does not proc on yellow hits either.

Why the admins haven't fixed it after all these months/years is beyond me.
