Keep in mind "the best guilds back then" had no prior knowledge of the raids and bosses mechanics while we now have an enormous amount of information regarding how everything in this game, especially raids, work.

Other than that and to answer your question, yes MC & BWL aim to be as blizzlike as possible here.

Well, I think clearing BWL so fast is no problem, but I wonder a bit, how MC got cleared so fast. There were a bunch of 24/7 guys, but did they also gather enough fire res? I'd think without it, Ragnaros can't be killed. Someone got information about this?

you do not necessarily have to be fire resi capped

tanks should have some though and also should have a good amount of HP but ragnaros in the end isn't too difficult (can always throw in hunter pets, ice blocking mages or melees if the tank dies)

The content is sufficiently close to Blizzlike, but we have 1.12.1 talents and abilities to do the earlier content with. A lot of classes were very different prior to that, and improved significantly in later patches.

Yes, this makes the T1 and T2 raids much easier than when they were first released. Add to that the fact that the strategies are all old hat by now and BWL is fun but not insurmountable.

Because they knew what gear they needed and how to get it, something people 10 years ago had no clue about?

And for future reference, with the exception of certain pieces and a few classes, Tier 1 is absolute dogshit for raiding, and the fact that the OP brought up Tier 0, which is even worse, screams troll thread. If someone came to raid in the garbage that is Tier 0, they shouldn't get loot, period (rogues may be the exception).
