There is no mention by any staff member in that thread about the autotrader addon causing your ban. However, Tigru did say this.

The addon does not keep the game alive while you are away. Nor did I use any 3rd party program to do so. There were many times when I walked away from my PC, got caught up doing something, I afk'd out and came back to an empty bag because my conjured stuff despawned.

Well Viper has locked my thread and stated that I was using illegal software. I was not running anything but my WoW client with trade dispenser. I wish he would state what 3rd party software it was. There is no point in re-rolling if I have no idea what I was actually banned for if it wasn't the trade dispenser addon. My new account would probably just end up getting banned as well.

Quote from Viper:
the account in question will stay banned permanently according to our Terms of Use as the player indeed used an automated program to provide items (sometimes received money) through automated transaction & discussion/whispers, with the capability of staying online 24 hours, 7 days a week.

The automated program that provides items/trades/whispers is a WoW addon. I was never online 24/7 nor did I have the capability to. I DCd more than once for going AFK and had to conjure food water all over again. I really wish it would be plainly stated that I am being banned for the use of the TradeDispenser add-on. The only reason they are not specific is because they can't be. There is no 3rd party program to name, and they don't want to say that they banned me for the use of an in-game addon.

Even had my account been unbanned I was considering leaving the server. There is no sense dumping more time into a character when you can be banned for a hunch.

Thanks to everyone I played with here on Nostalrius. It's been fun. And now...back to real life.

Im kind of thinking Op got clever and had some kind of rig set up to push keys on his kb in some fashion

like when homer got that balancing duck thing to click the button for him when he was working at home on disability

which technically wouldnt be covered.. but realistically, basically same thing as a third party program be it a hack or an autoclicker

My guild had a duel deathbringer warrior banned due to him using a fan with a pencil attached to jump in AV to afk farm, so there's precedence for banning that kind of them

This thread is bullshit.

No GM/Admin has claimed that this player was banned for using this particular addon.
The posts explicitly said that he used third party software.

I would also like to remind you that the addon itself is not able to trade or cast spells without direct input like a button press or a mouse click. This was described in Vanillerific's appeal thread (go read the whole thing).

It is most likely that the addons were used in combination with a third party program to press some buttons that activated functions of the addon.

LazyPig? Really? Alright, I'ma just play normally and count until I get banned, as I am using this Addon since May or so. And yet, I'm getting more and more paranoid about suddenly getting the "Banhammer - FROM OUT OF NOWHERE".
