Even during retail vanilla, players knew how imbalanced towards alliance AV was. Blizzard felt they could ignore the imbalance because it's mostly of an imbalance based on the fact the horde needs to deploy a strategy, whereas the alliance can play mindlessly and win. That's obviously a huge imbalance since 8/10 players are mindless.

I recall when they finally implemented a balance fix, it was to move the alliance starting position further south. That was pretty amusing.

As much as I appreciate the nostalgia of classic AV, I hope Nost decides to update it to patch 1.12 AV when we reach patch 1.12.
