There has been a problem the last 4 days or so with missing spawns. It was fixed today on the PvP realm, and is pending on the PvE realm (=live after next restart).

You didn't write which realm was causing the problem, so I assume you play on the PvE realm, in which case the problem will be solved "Soon".

This is not fixed in the PvP server.


I fortunately levelled my blacksmithing weeks ago, and am currently at thorium level, so it's not a big hindrance, I can also just go alone to deadmines to get copper if I ever required some for a pattern. However this is catstrophic for people who are just new to the server and even alts levelling mining.

I took the time 15 minutes ago to ride around Dun Morogh for veins, I went to every corner on the map I used to mine it. I went even inside the deepest parts of Gol'Bolar quarry, finding trogg rare spawn, full battered chests, and other clear signs that no players had been there recently, and not a single copper node was found.

Why is this even a problem now? I don't get what the coders are up to, the server was fine for months, (well, as 'fine' as an overpopulated server can be) in regards to nodes, but now, starter areas are entirely screwed.

Maybe this might be fixed in Durotar/Mulgore/Tirisfal and they decided it was fine then. I'll go check those next.

It's sickening how Horde-gasmic the whole concept of the server is. The forum ranks, the pics of the Twitter account. Wouldn't be surprised if the Alliance starter areas were completely forgotten.

Update. Went to Tirisfal, already found a copper vein in the Nightmare Vale, a wide open area with only level 6 hyenas around.

Seems the fix was given to Horde areas only just as I suspected. It's both fun and depressing how when you assume the worst of people, you're often right.

Edit:

- Another copper vein by the shore in Tirisfal. Will keep counting how many I find just riding around the area. Then willmove on to Durotar and Mulgore and do the same. Obviously I'm going to mine them after listing them here.

- Third copper vein in Tirisfal, on the seaside by a cliff.

- Fourth copper vein in Tirisfal. Right behind the building in Agammand Mills.

- Fifth copper vein in Tirisfal. Garren's Haunt, a bit to the west near the cliff.

- Sixth copper vein in Tirisfal. By the road going to Scarlet Post, near the slopes that head to the Monastery.

- Seventh vein. When returning to Nightmare Veil for the vein respawn, I spotted a second one just a few yards, very close to it. Respawn is correctly timed something like 20+ minutes.

Moving to Silverpine, to compare it with Loch Modan, a place where I just sent 2 people to scout for any mining sights. Returns are what I expected. There is nothing in Loch Modan, while just entering Silverpine coming from Tirisfal, I found a tin vein already just by the road.

- Second tin vein in Silverpine, just a bit east of the mine entrance in the Skittering Dark.

- First copper vein in Silverpine. Just south of Skittering Dark mine.

- Second copper vein in Silverpine. Just by the shore off Valgan's Field.

- Third tin vein in Silverpine. Olsen's Farthing, behind the field up the slopes beneath the houses.

- Fourth and fifth tin veins in Silverpine. Cave at Beren's peril.

There are always people like this in life, it's the reason why governments, companies and everyone with a tidbit of power jizzes all over society's face, and they go "Oh man, we gave it gud, don't complain".

As someone that left Europe and has little wish to return to it, this is just way too familiar. Keep paying taxes while you are probed lubeless, and don't complain cuz "we have it gud here man".

As silly as it sounds, it really can be the one of the reasons.

I remember the time I went in Redridge raid.... i picked 3 herbs and 4 ores there and few in Elwyn too.
It takes time to respawn so...
On the other hand, i'm in Tirisfal pretty often. Still have to see some allies there....

Having 40 ppl in alliance zone isn't same as having same number of hordes there too
No resources for allies, sorry...

HIhihi, when you went to Gol'bolar quarry, deep in Dun Morogh, you decided to leave the chests, and rare spawn alive, but take the 3 mining nodes?

This is the picture: After 3 days of having several people go around Dun Morogh and Loch Modan, the least played Alliance areas since dwarves/gnomes are the least played races, while LM has the least amount of quests for 2nd areas, no copper nor tin vein was found.

On the other hand, a single person doing a quick ride around Tirisfal and Silverpine finds 10 copper veins, and 5 tin veins, in the areas where the most played horde race, undead, spawns.


I had heard the 'hurr durr, EK is bugged, but Kalimdor is k' excuse, so I chose precisely to test that theory in the same continent, and the bare truth is there to see: The developers didn't care to fix the veins for the faction they don't wank to.
