i farmed pots/flasks/mats worth for 6000 gold for BWL release, so the epic mount is a piece of cake compared to that. heres a lil hint if you wanna save gold for your mount while beeing on alow level : only learn the spells from classtrainer that you will really need.

I think it's absolutely fantastic that prices are not inflated here. People just have to learn to deal with their gold efficiently. How is it good for the game if a level 15 dude can sell his copper for a few gold which is completely unproportional to how much he should have at that level?

Well as you see. Not enough gold exists around the game for inflated prices. People spend a thousand on an epic mount. This is how auction house rolled, so this is what we get.

So the epic mount is a massive goldsink that leaves everyone bankrupt?

That is the sole purpose of the epic mount. The same thing can be said for a great many vendor/quest-bought items in game that involves removing gold from the player economy.
