No man, I've never been a game dev for blizzard, so the Need/Greed system is not of my invention. I just told you what those 2 buttons mean. It's a shame that after 11+ years, there's still people that doesn't get it. C'mon guys, greed button is represented by coins! If you wanna make bank, you click on the coins.

If you can't understand that, you're a shame for our class. Have a good day sir.

No need to get hostile. Frontedge is being level headed about the situation.

As you said, they are helping you get that bow. You appear to be a fury warrior going for fury items. An offspec item dropped and one of the members would rather get gold than give it to an offspec. You are supposed to ask if you can get the item for your offspec. Instead of having a dialogue you claimed 'mine' and did not engage in a friendly conversation, that shows that there was a lack of communication which I regard as toxic.

If you said something like 'okay, this is a valuable item is it okay if I give each of you 50G so that I can use it for my offspec?' Something like that would've benefited all 3 of you greatly. Anything would've been better than a greedy 'mine' statement that you show us here: http://imgur.com/a/iVEzJ

Notice how he only needs after you claim it's yours? Maybe he didn't like your attitude which isn't surprising, I don't like it either.

Fifteen minutes later I went to the AH, and oh, surprise, he was selling the book already!

Do you have proof of the Druid claiming this? If you can show us then it will solidify your case and people will undoubtedly know that the Druid player can't be trusted.

Hmm, interesting, people did take seriously this thread, guild and all.

I got Stockade Pauldrons ninjaed from me last week by a nelf hunter, Trapzilla, who did the awesome, hit need, win roll, hearth, dc trick. I simply figured nobody would care so never reported it here.
Just to be cathartic about it I went out and spent 150g on them.

Guess I'm more cynical about online communities than what I should be.

It's not his rules. It's how the underlying assumption works. You're simply tweaking the system out of pure and raw greed.
Imagine dungeons when people are undergeared and a BoE green drops. The person who is undergeared, will probably hit need on said green BoEs to improve his set. Nobody else will hit need, because well, they're not going to use it. No feathers are ruffled.

I have had Hanzo's Sword drop for me, a rogue in team did need it, he asked about it, I said go for it, in spite of the protests of some randomer warlock. Rogue got to need it, he equipped the item, everyone moved on.

The fact it is a blue BoE, doesn't change the principle. Same with a purple BoE. You're supposed to need it only if you are going to use said item. The fact these excuses and misconstrued points of view are put out there, just show how petty greed moves tiny people like you. And sadly, you're probably the majority.

----------

To be honest, nowadays I prefer it when there's no purple/high end blue BoE drop in my dungeons. People can't seem to come to grips with it. I was in a team where Krol Blade dropped. The sheer amount of drama that ensued when one person won the item after a greed roll (we had no fury/rogue dps) was proverbial. I didn't win the item, but it was fine, moved on, again the principle is the same of a green BoE. Yet my 'team' started a flame war while pulling, that ended with wiping us in an otherwise easy dungeon

Of course I also have the opposite cases where an epic item dropped (Kang, Warden Staff), and after the single roll people got over it and proceeded casually. The whole issue boils down to personal character and moral fiber. And precisely for this reason, I prefer to not have BoE drops. Given any randomly selected population sample, like this server, the majority of the time, you will run into shudra scum. Like you :)

Frontedge wrote:Good day.

I was contacted by Plebiterator beforehand with this topic and I did a bit of research as I do like to hear out both sides of the argument.

First of all after speaking with Plebiterator, I have spoken with our Trial member Baggenxd regarding the accusation.

Baggenxd told me that Plebiterator was tanking in Fury specc as it appears in both his screenshots as with bare minimum of tank gear you would have above 4k Hp.

Secondly if we take a look at

http://realmplayers.com/CharacterViewer.aspx?realm=NRB&player=Plebiterator

We can see that 95% of gear is Fury/Dps gear, including recent acquiring of Obsidian Edged Blade

http://www.wow-one.com/database/?item=18822-0

While I do acknowledge there are couple of "tankish" items, he looks anything but a Tank to me with the current gear.

Secondly we can see the group consists of 3 people on an obvious "farming" run. Usually farming runs include reservations and/or certain agreements. If there was none made, we can only assume it was a pug run.

Based on the above I see absolutely zero reasons why Baggenxd would not be allowed to Roll on the item, as the way it appears they both have equal terms and the higher roller has won.
I am more then certain the item would have ended up on AH if Plebiterator would have won it, as he does not look like a tank to me one bit.

Once again I am in no way protecting Ninjaing as I am always all for a fair play, however based on my above argument and my analysis of the information I have, I do not see a specific "ninjaing" being involved.

I would gladly change my mind regarding our Trial member Baggenxd if more facts can be provided, as in no way Honorus community supports ninjas. But I also would like to hear out Baggenxd in this topic.

With respect,
Frontedge.

Would've rolled need on it as well. If it was an item not worth much gold, then yes, I could see an issue. But it is worth HUNDREDS of gold.

Also, in the pic, you say "mine", like you think that item is 100% yours. You're not entitled to an item like that that's worth all that gold.

I almost hate to agree with this, but if you do not reserve an item is not a ninja.

Is having a lot of gold better than someone else having an upgrade ok? Debatable at best. I would be slightly annoyed, but end of the day if you can click need you have every right. NEED does not mean upgrade, he could just need gold to buy some mats or whatever. How he chooses to get that gold is his choice. If you are that worried Master loot is a thing.
