If GM's remove racism & political crap then its in my opinion completly fine.

I won't complain about retards & racists getting their posts removed ands its not censoring then <.<

I wasn't trying to complain, though I think censorship of anything other than blatant spam in a world where it is so easy so simply ignore those you disagree with is pretty unneeded. I was simply unaware this was happening, and was frankly quite surprised when it did. I know I will be more careful with what I say in the future and figured I'd save some other people the trouble of finding out the hard way.

Just use the Chinese client m8s, then the GMs won't have any clue what you're talking about. Total immunity.

Ban racism, sexism, whatever is against the tou - yes
Ban the retards - no. Even disregarding the fact that it would lead to a feenix-alike-fail-random-ban-policy, free speech exists to protect minorities and unpopular views, even if it hurts, why else would you need it.
Besides... As if the devs could properly distinguish between 'against the tou' and 'i think this is uncool and stupid'. No offense, but keeping your hands off everything but the VERY clear cases is probably for the better.

I just think trash bags that casually utter racist comments aren't really worh having in the community. Since we're overpopulated, I'm totally good seeing those uneducated dregs get sanctioned.

Cheers.

The First Amendment only limits the Federal Government's ability to restrict your freedom of speech. It has zero bearing on this conversation.

Echoed. Not to mention, they're violating the ToU.

Freedom of speech, such as it is in various countries across the globe, has nothing to do with rules that apply to a privately (or company) owned online space. Complaining about censorship here is about as useful as complaining about an online paper shutting down their comment section. One simply does not have any "right" to say anything in a space owned by someone else. That's not what freedom of speech means.

Also, people need to realise that freedom of speech "in the real world" does not entail being able to say anything and getting away with it. It's freedom to say whatever you want to say without it being scrutinised and censored beforehand. If you say something illegal (this varies from country to country, of course, but a death threat is usually a safe bet of something that is de facto illegal to utter), you still have to face the consequences of your actions.

TLDR: Freedom of speech =/= the right to say whatever you want without facing consequences. Freedom of speech = the right to not have your opinions and utterances policed and censored before you utter them publicly.

Tbh if you got muted then it's probably not as much censorship as you said something wrong/inappropriate in the terms of service they have listed. Like Saffron said above.

Sure you can freely speak your mind, but if it deems anything illegal, racist comments, and political comments(which really aren't needed, just brings out terrible conversations/troll baiting in world/zone chats). Other then that and following their rules you really shouldn't get banned/muted, but if you do then you said something you shouldn't have, and just take the mute/ban they gave and if it's not permanent, then learn your lesson for the future and move on.

Posting about it and clearly posting about specifically what you were banned for is I'm guessing prohibited by them. So just a generalizing post such as this doesn't do a reader any good of what not to say. Otherwise to anyone with a brain it's just common sense to not say something that would obviously get muted/banned for. Think of it like this, if you have to think to yourself "is this okay to stay in world/zone chat?", then it's probably NOT okay to say in world/zone chat. Just sayin'.

TL;DR: Don't be stupid next time, common sense should tell people to not do the same, WITHOUT you even posting.

Just ban chatting in general. This game has too much social gameplay, it needs to stop.
