Yep, we're actually late on a double drop. Statistically speaking it would've been very likely that this has happened at least twice before.

.03 and .03 are already converted into percents as there is no need to do it twice. its actually .0009% chance as you wrote .09%.
Your statistical odds however are correct, as 1/(.0009) = a 1 in 1111 chance.
