I really believe that every LootDistributionSystem has its own flaws.
That's why there should always be "some" LootCouncil behind every decision.

Like the "Protection Warrior" rolling his DKP/EP on a cloth item should not be permitted...
...and this is something the LootCouncil should deal with.
I'm not root of myself.

sounds like a 'force items down my throat' system. What if this system decided I get item X, but I don;t want item X, I'd rather save up for the alternative item Y?

Then you are scum. The thing that makes DKP bad is that people don't want to spend DKP on minor upgrades because they all want to save it on big upgrades, which then slows guild progression down because those minor upgrades that you use to gear the raid up for higher content are wasted.

That is very narrowminded. There are all kinds of genuine reasons people can have for not wanting an item . and raid progress is not depending on every 0,03% gear upgrade. In whole of vanilla there are maybe 3 or 4 fights where a gear check is a factor, but team work and practice is >>>>>>>>>>>>>> more important than that extra 10 AP ever will be.

most serious raiders that play vanilla , an 11 year old game, are good enough that they can play around a bit with the gear and still perform at the required lvl (all content is easy tbh except naxx and maybe the last bit of aq40 which is a far away from this server at this time.)

I would reconsider this DKP system. There are several issues with it but the main one you will encounter is inflation. You are inputting a lot of #s from bonus DKP like on-time and attendance that will never be spent out in loot, which means 6 months down the road the #'s of DKP people have will be simply massive, which means there will be no reason to join your guild as ... you will never loot anything as a newer member.

It is also unclear to me whether you are doing actual fixed price or bidding, as both terms are used interchangeably, but if you are using fixed price you pretty much need to go through and price each item individually, as not all chests are created equal for example. A bidding system would actually be better for your existing description simply to try and bleed some of that inflation out, and also because I get the feeling you are not wanting to go through and price every item in MC/Onyxia.

I am not saying this to dishearten you but the concerns people are raising in this thread are valid reasons why a lot of people do not want to do DKP systems - almost everyone has seen a system like this where the intentions are good but it is not thoroughly planned out enough and it winds up with all kinds of issues and needing to be changed after awhile because small issues eventually become large issues.

Basically you need to ask yourself where the system will be months or years down the road, what you will do about various circumstances, and find situations that would make people unhappy and address those somehow for a DKP system to be truly functional.

I will add that my guild intends to use a DKP system, which you can check out if you'd like. I have used it for periods of 2 consecutive years in retail and it works beautifully, we never had a single loot complaint - but the thing about it is that it takes HOURS to maintain for the leadership. If you don't want to invest that kind of time I strongly recommend you go with loot council.
