PVP Rank Updates (Week 2)

Aside from whether this is blizzlike or not, can you explain to me what would be getting out of hand?

I got rank 5 by twinking the 19 bracket for 2,5 weeks. Okay, this may not be the way it was intended in vanilla, but all I have is the rank. All the gear has min. lvl requirements that I don't meet. The rank 7+ gear even has lvl 58 requirement if I'm not mistaken.

Also, gaining honor as a low lvl goes much slower than as a high lvl. There is no way to really compete with active lvl 60 pvp-ers in standing as a low lvl. Only the first weeks when there weren't many 60's. But that's over now.

So I don't really see the problem?

The problem is that as of now there are very few level 60 that gain full honor for HK, which means the competition is essentially between players in level range 30-50. If the RP caps are bugued and those players will be able to get to high ranks. I don't know if you can buy PvP sets if you have the required rank but not the required level, but even if you can't some players can jut level fast enough to maintain their rank and have the blue PvP set way too fast.

Why way too fast? I don't know about others but I've spent a shit load of time in the bg's. Much more than lvl 60's that are also rank 5 now I'm sure. If I had spent that time lvl'ing I would also have been 60 by now.

Also, the competition is already between the lvl 60's. Because from what I've seen running around and standing at the BM'ers so far it seems the top of the standing already consists of only 60's. I saw the nr. 6 of the horde standing, a lvl 60 with 62k honor. I've spent as much time as possible in the 19 wsg's, winning most of it, and I've got 23k which got me standing 73.

As I said, no way to compete with the active lvl 60's as a lower lvl, and the gear can't be used by them anyway.

And I agree with the time based argument, if I spent as much time leveling as I've been PVP'ing I'd be 60 as well. I don't really see anything that is unfair or "getting of of hand" so to say.

you do know there are high lvls that are gonna camp you to death for honor since you got high rank once you try to lvl to 60 so you can use the gear you earned?
expected time to hit 60 increased by 20x
