Does 1x leveling rate weed out many bads?

1x rates with this high of a population, and world pvp does in fact help people improve at their class, and may even weed out the bads.

Sadly the fact that it's slow doesn't make it any harder, the group of first 60s is surely one of the high quality players to have with you but they are already in guilds etc. The second wave of 60s will have people who are decent in this game and in a month or two it will be everyone who joined late but he is decent and the slow levelers/people that had enough patience.

TL;DR The high quality people are in guilds already, patient people will level up eventually but it doesn't mean that they are decent at this game.

i feel like the player quality is way lower than most privates ive been on. feels like retail in that respect.

Well the main problem will be that people that play vanilla since x years will meet people who played last time vanilla in retail or never played vanilla before.
So people with the mindset "pre raid bis or gtfo" will meet people who think that t0 is reasonable gear.

But who is the bad player at this point?

and such people are usually the baddies now on retail or highrate servers. Everyone else will learn, so be
patient please.

Player skill is higher than on retail. Although I haven't been able to judge the average pick up warrior in instances since I'm always the tank. Heard some horror stories about terribad warriors tho.

Contrary to popular belief, vanilla leveling is not hard. It's time consuming. So it won't "weed out" the bads, only the ones with less time to commit to the game. And on the other hard, just because someone has enough time to get to 60 in a week or two, it doesn't make them good.

Retail was full of idiots, do I dare think that Nos having a 1x leveling rate and no pay2win will prevent a lot of bad people from even hitting 60?

I guess I'm asking if the quality of player is higher by default in private servers since I'm pretty new to non-retail wow servers.

Because you can't just run through and AoE everything people playing vanilla have to learn a different play style, I've found a lot of great players on the private servers. But some parts of the pop are far worse than anything I ever remember on retail. This may have to do with the demographic, on retail there are more females and older people.
