you people really need to sit down and shut the fuck up about this stuff. A populated server is prime.
Can you imagine pugging a grp for Warsong in avg gear, and not face a premade with t2?
Can you imagine an epic world boss up for 12+ hours
Can you all shut the fuck up and donate
go fcuk yourself

Read the thread. It's not solely about server performance as much as the fact that this high of a population borks questing and other world activities with little to no upsides. At a certain point, the population has diminishing returns, as I said in the other thread. The difference between 3.5k and 7k population is that you have 40 people on-screen at all times instead of 20; It's just aesthetic.
I will reiterate my points, just to get those that are willing to think about the issue brains going.
1. It's mathematically relative; Using the Deadmines example. It doesn't matter if there's 100 or 500 people in Westfall, as long as there are 5 people looking for a Deadmines group at
all times.2. The world wasn't designed for this; One could argue this isn't Blizzlike.
3. Questing and world activities are artificially borked by the population; Because of point 2.
Now, I would love to hear some positives concerning this high of a population, but I haven't yet. Regarding server queue's, that'll just ultimately be up to the player base whether a cap would be the appropriate solution or a second server. Personally, I rather wait for two hours during prime time to have a true vanilla experience. I've given up questing all together during prime times.
