Retail logs/ranks. And I think that has to be one of the most asinine comments I've ever seen. It doesn't matter how good you are if you're never in a situation to prove it. Otherwise you're just a face in the crowd. The whole point of my original post was to see if people who currently play on this server could offer insight in to the situation.
Getting off to a late start is a disadvantage. I was merely trying to see how much of one we'd be in, nothing more.
And I’m trying to tell you good players know how to prove their worth even if they aren’t automatically given a raid spot. There are plenty of things you can do on your own to prove yourself as a reliable, resourceful player. How often are you even online? Are you improving your character outside of raids? Run a few instances with members of the guild so show how “elite” you are. If you are as good as you think you are you should be able to at least get yourself an invite to a top end guild to start out as a casual/trial and go from them.
Like I said, if you are as good as you think you are you’d know that highly skilled, reliable players are infinitely more difficult to find than gear. If you can prove yourself as such, even if you started while AQ was on farm you’d be able to get into a good guild.
Despite all that, guilds have only cleared MC a couple of times and BWL is months away. If you’re as dedicated as you seem to indicate your fancy group should be able to easily hit 60 in a week or two and find a suitable guild. Nos is still in it’s infancy.
