Malicious Ads are very good at blending in and tricking people into clicking them. You most likely clicked on one that disguised itself as a legitimate download button.
The removal of the Malware is probably best handled by someone you know that's qualified to do it for you.
I don't know who would be qualified...
Anyone that fixes computers in their day job would probably be a good choice.

Anything you do yourself and any information that I provide is done at your own risk.
The problem with getting infected with Malware is that even if you remove it, you don't really know what is left behind and what settings it may have modified. The best course of action is to always reformat. This is not always an option though.
You most likely got bit by simple ad/tracking malware that should be easily removed by the scanners mentioned above along with Malwarebytes and Nod32 Online Scanner. Be careful about anything you download or click on in an attempt to remove the malware as you may just infect yourself further.
You may then also want to check your browser settings, addons and proxy settings to revert any changes the malware has made. There may also be fragments on startup, Scheduled Tasks or Services among others such as Drivers and Rootkits that may persist through a restart and will need to be manually removed.
It's really best to have someone qualified to do this for you.

LOL
This isnt rocket science just do a system restore to before you downloaded it or reformat if you like.
if you take it to any computer tech and they will do the exact same thing except they'll charge you a bunch of money to do something anyone can do.
System Restore is nice however it's not a complete system state restore like restoring to a previous image. It only restores features such as the registry and other settings. It does not revert all data and settings. Along with that certain Malware is designed to bypass System Restore.
Unfortunately I've caused a thread to go longer than it needed to so I'll be ending my comments here unless required. You may PM me if you would like to discuss this further.
Thanks.
