Carless banning

A lot of these things seem like they should be met with a warning first, not an insta-perma-ban.. Especailly for things like (apparently) playing 2 characters at once.

Warnings "spread awareness," instabans just make people quit.

You won't get banned for playing 2 characters at once. You will get banned for multiboxing 2 characters at once. There is a huge difference.

It's not hard to learn this server's Terms of use and FAQs. Both of these spell out in plain language what is and is not accessible on the server. Obviously if there is something these two do not address please ask in Support.

Ignore Rotten, he's one of the few on the forums with an IQ smaller than the amount of fingers you have.

I knew that this moment would eventually come, when certain staff members would go on a power misuse train with no intention of getting off. It happens on every server. The question is now how the rest of the staff / the higher ups is gonna handle it.

Even if you did get caught doing something so terribly gamebreaking such as boosting your own toon, an account closure? Really?

(A tip: It says _SPECIFICALLY_ that I do not want to _SELL_ the exploit(s) for ANY gold or items)

Weird, I have never received any donation ( and never asked for one ) and people are unable to subscribe to me, because I am not a twitch partner.

And just saying, for you guys who know Thompz and his ban appeal, he actually got unbanned (talked to him in game) because the staff reviewed his case once more.

So even though it might not seem like it on the forums, the staff (I think) are doing a decent job at handling these ban appeals, even if not everyone gets what they want (an unbanned account).

But yes, I wish there was a GM or 2 specifically assigned to talk to players (like the Kronos IRC), so there isn't a large communication gap between the admins and the players, and the players can feel more connected to the Nostalrius staff.

That's not true, read those links you sent, or this quote:

The only thing we allow multiple characters for, is professions and banking, this means you cannot /follow level 2 characters at once. This will result in a ban of one of the two, and if repeated, both. It is also not a problem if you are, for instance, three family members in the same house, playing at the same time. Each multi-box case will be judged individually, so don't worry if you're not doing anything wrong. What you can't do, is PvP with multiple characters, Dungeon with multiple characters, Raid with multiple characters, etc.

Or look at the appeal forum, its filled with appeals about this issue. People have been banned for things that are -clearly- not multiboxing, because they don't allow you to do anything more than professions/banking.

Guys, there's like how many players on this server total - 15k? Something along those lines..

And every single person that gets banned is going to go crying on the forums, so of course there's A LOT of appeals. How many have proof that they didn't exploit? Probably not many - so you'll take their word for it then? Not only that, this is a private server - it's going to attract hordes of people looking to exploit.

Personally, I think everyone would be complaining a lot more if people WEREN'T getting banned.
