at first i thought it was just the GM's to blame, but it seems the admins(they pick and choose GM's) dont seem to care either, and let the GM's do whatever they want

Sanction E isn't a permaban. Sanction E is final warning. If you really have to go to the store, /afk out. If you have to pee or get a drink from the fridge, I am sure this isn't going to get you a sanction E.

This is more aimed towards /afk bots that either move or repeatedly jump before the afk tag hits, or someone who thinks it is okay to take a 5-10min break to go to the store like the OP.

Sanction E itself might not be a permaban, but if you're not around to answer your "Final Warning" and you get hit with one, or if it catches up to you at a later date where you didn't expect a pit-stop at the loo to take nearly as long as it did, that'd suck some ass.

A suspension would be fine, and then a ban for repeat offenders, but such a sudden and iron-fisted move is overkill.

I also agree that a permaban is a bit much. I don't afk in BGs, but a 2 week ban would be plenty.

Remember, this is vanilla. A 2 week ban can bring you down multiple ranks eventually, and should be a suitable deterrent.

Banning for AFKing in BGs is TOTALLY absurd as it is, to me, it seems that the bad roots are ruining it for the good ones and the GMs are getting totally lost in controlling the tides.

yes, in retail AFK'ing in bg's wasnt even bannable, but lets go ahead and not just ban people for it here lets PERMA ban them.

Anything other than using the bathroom (#1 only) or a short phone call = GTFO the BG (/afk)

I laughed as well when i read ''go to the store''. Just slash afk like Rylox said, anything that will require you to afk more than a minute or two.
