Seems like a lot of the tracks people like here are the
Jason Hayes composed tracks.
Not surprising. He is the best composer Blizzard ever had in terms of the Warcraft's majestic and magical choir sounds (he also composed all the night elf choir songs heard in forests and "magical moments"). He also composed almost all the outdoor and city themes, as well as all the Alliance tavern themes in original WoW.
Some of the WoW tracks he composed. He was only 'Lead Composer' once at Blizzard - for Vanilla WoW. Which imo has the best music out of all of the other WoW expansions. But Burning Crusade would be a close second, whose lead composer was Matt Uelmen - Who's most known for composing the great ambient and dark fantasy soundtracks of Diablo 1 and Diablo 2.
Neither of them work on Blizzard stuff much anymore. Shame, because as many composers as Blizzard has (and all their soundtracks are great), those two are by far the best ones they worked with, imo.
Jason Hayes also composed
all the Cinematic music in Warcraft 3 - You can quite clearly hear his style there. A lot of sounds and melodies similar to Vanilla WoW themes.
Prime example is
the tune that plays at the last ending cinematic of Warcraft 3. Chills every time.
Why Blizzard doesn't have him compose more for them anymore I have no idea... I don't even think he's involved with any of the music that will be in the cinematic movie. Which is a shame, because his compositions are what made original WoW. The tracks people tend to remember most, are his compositions.
