you dont know if internally all or most quests were tested.
also there is no ETA yet on the server release.

I asked them, they didn't have any answer. I don't see any reason for them to withhold this information as disclosing it would only prevent unnecessary speculations like this.

I didn't say there was any ETA, but rumors are saing we'll have news on the 10th/11th.

Yeah I'm a little concerned that we haven't heard more about the polishing of leveling content.

Sure it's great if Onyxia is perfect, but some people will be turned off before they even hit cap if the leveling experience is sub-par. 1x leveling is such an investment, it's really frustrating and a big reminder that you're on a private server when things don't work.

I also noticed on Sunday that rares weren't dropping loot, which is a pretty big deal.

But now that they have end game content pretty much ready to go, maybe this means they can focus 100% on fixing leveling stuff and just do it on the fly as people report it. Not ideal but it's also a little unrealistic to have a ton of 1-60 testing since it's such a time investment for testers.

Either way I just wish we'd hear something about it, it's my only reservation about this server right now.

I hope that doesn't go live.. Vengeance WoW has the same issue and it's so infuriating and makes rares absolutely pointless and no one even bothers hunting for them.

Afaik, Emerald Dream has had that issue for as long as it's been live :lol:
I'm pretty confident that the devs here can manage to fix that before going live!

Totally agree, having blizzlike scripted mobs and quests is really important for any player looking for the ol' Blizz experience. More so for lower-level areas: i think a substantial amount of new players, bored wiith trying private server after server, will just cast a quick look and the quality of the starting questing stuff and scripts, and if not up to their expectation they might just conclude that it's just another dissapoiment, and forget about it.
On the other hand, if we have nicely polished and blizz-like starting content, they might just go like: "holy crap! i haven't seen this level of detail anywhere else! i have to tell my like-minded friends"
An answer from the devs ragarding the state of quests would be nice.

It's been an ongoing topic of IRC for the past 2 months or more. At least, when I still played a few weeks ago it was still not fixed.

As a former player I can tell you that a lot of work was done during the beta regarding quest scripts.
If these scripts are enabled, most of the quest should be working.
