Anyways, essentially GDKP is a group of raiders who take a group of players on a free run through an instance. During this run when loot drops, this said group gets to bid on items using gold and the highest bidder gets the item. At the end of the raid all of the gold is split between the raiders.
This system can vary with groups, some reserve items and don't bid at all, and sometimes there isn't a group, but rather one person with a ton of gold who pays for everything they receive. I would also argue that this is much easier to do in Vanilla considering Blizzard designed their raid instances with afk'ers and shit players in mind for 40 mans.
