Skandale wrote:No, that was the summoning stones.
The "meeting stones" were available in Vannilla 1.12, you could queue up for instances by cliking on the stones. Some servers like Rebirth has enabled summoning using these meeting stones, although I've read only the group / raid leader could initiate these summons, still however a big turn-off.

I was referring to the summoning functions.
I'm certain the developers have implemented the functions that were added during the vanilla period
Skandale wrote:To sum it up, Summoning features were _not_ part of Vanilla, 1.12 or otherwice, and should not be implemented as a feature on Nostalrius neither.
The only feature the stones had was to act as a "LFR" System, where people had to physicaly move to these stones in order to queue up for a specific instance at a time. This was their only purpose in Vanilla.
In TBC, Blizzard allowed these stones to be used as a means for summoning other players outside instances, this is encourages laziness and takes a lot away from the game. We don't want lazy! Keep it Vanilla, keep it clean
