Why the fuck not. If you're seen without consumables when consumables are expected, a warning or straight out -10 dkp. If you bomb the raid at Vael, -50. Etc etc

It always baffles me how advocates of one system or the other are almost uniformly under the impression that their system of choice may be flawed but you can fix it in following ways 1) 2) 3) 4), BUT THE OTHER SYSTEM? NO WAI, that shit is bad, anyone running it is a complete fuckwit incapable of a single rational thought, and so THAT thing is beyond salvation.
Geez.

LootCouncil seems pretty gay, do people vote for who gets the items? Fuck that. Either ML+Roll or DKP is also a nice way to decide who earns it most and it's also fun cause you feel like you gain something even when you kill a boss and there's no loot for you... you still get DKP.

Just use DKP ffs naabs.

-DKP hidden bid: prices were not fixed, the one which bid higher is the one who gets it. I saw players with insane DKP using (almost) them all on a single item, because he really wanted it. This lead to a DKP balance between older and newer players.

Only way to game dkp hidden bid is setup loot cartels "uhhuhu hey guys lets bid x amount so y gets it"; otherwise, a briti gud system.

I don't understand.

I was in a guild with this system. The higher bidder is the one getting it, the other people spend nothing.

Since it's hidden people didn't know others bids. It worked flawlessly.

Lets say that all priests go into a pact where they decide that all Transcendence gear will be given on a rotating schedule. The priest who is next in line bids the minimum and noone else bids. Then when a ring/trinket/etc drops they have on average more to spend than the other classes who also competes for those items.

This is but one if the problems DKP systems has, and anyone setting up a DKP system should be aware of the issues. Loot Council has many problems too but those are generally more obvious than the issues with DKP are.

DKP makes more sense in a 40 man setting with small amounts of loot than it does in 10/25 with enormous amounts of loot. That's the main reason you'll see more of it here than on retail.

There's a reason the top 5 guilds who cleared BWL day 1 are all Loot Council. If you can't figure out why Loot Council done properly breads higher quality guilds, well enjoy your gametime on this server striving for mediocrity.

There is no question that LC is the better system for such guilds. If you think that LC will propel your guild to higher echelons you are however delusional. DKP systems, for all their flaws, actually have a place in non-topend guilds.

Dont bother arguing with ohr he is retarded.

You are right, DKP is the best way to handle things imo, i rather have people show up every raid and have consumbles for it and if they dont they dont recieve bonus dkp and -10 more dkp of their dkp is removed for slacking.

LC promote slacking (watched couple BWL streams made me chuckle when i saw alot of them didnt even have fucking right consumbles for etc Svartkatt from dreamstate wasted a titan flask instead of using a distilled wisdom<.< LOL).

Also people missing consumbles all together ^^ (and all these guild were using LC)
