raid loggers come last for good reason.
You can solve almost everything like that in a well-established DKP system. I'll just point out however that I find DKP to be pretty shitty and I've never been a fan of it. I'm much more a fan of class-based discussion with people in the raid, while rarer pieces (weapons, shields, trinkets/rings/necks) have already established loot rules.
I mean, there isn't THAT much gear in MC. How hard is it to sit down and explain in a guild post what pieces each class can vie for, etc. My main argument though is that loot council is so easily broken it's silly. Before I quit my guild discussed making me an officer or some shit; it sounded like they wanted the issue dropped and wanted me to join the group that decides loot or something similar. Loot Council works AMAZING in some close-knit guilds (Nurfed from retail is a great example), but 90% of the time it's ran by someone using the guise of "helping the guild out" to reward people.
Another great example: guild leader/officers leveling alts and you help him to level the alts. During MC, loot drops and you are given the loot for helping the guild out over others. This is knowing that those "others" are leveling their alts in groups/pairs with other guild MEMBERS, which is the SAME principle except they aren't helping the leaders. How the fuck would that be fair? I'd love to hear your arguments/justifications.
TLDR loot council is great if you are only following the exact definition of it and don't assume that humans will be human beings, or think that "only bad guilds have loot drama".
