Please don't compare reversals of automatic bans with this issue. They are very much different.

This is a judgement call.

That the players mined the nodes isn't in dispute. That the Nostalrius staff considered the nodes bugged isn't in dispute. What is in dispute is if it is reasonable to ban players for the crime of "Exploiting a major bug" in this case.

I would come down on the side of it being a stretch to call something hundreds of players have done since the server started without any ill intent "exploiting". Secondly, I'd hardly classify slightly miscoded node spawns a "major bug".

Grave moss is being farmed now, as it's a component used for Shadow Oil, which is used to make Greater Shadow Protection Potions (for BWL).

It's now much more expensive than it was (50s each or more), and on a fixed 30 minute timer.

And being farmed on respawn times.

desolace kodo GY spawn points and duskwood areas are broken. camped it for 4hrs+ and 0 spawns for past 3 days.. nothing..
something is wrong here. that's probably why costs are up so much.

You missed the point imbaslap.

As we have all been sayimg from the start to perma ban people for minning somethi g on a static cd is madness. Practicality everything in wow respawns on a static timer, all of those players farming gravemoss should get banned for exploiting the static respawn timer.

Now the server either got 1) Corrupt GM staff or policy about removing gold or 2) A new super hacker.

6.6k dispappeared while playing (no dc or away from account). Suddently no gold acces, but UI showed gold. After relog gold is disappeared.

Wonder why you have a COD for 100g on that crystal? Some way to try and circumvent getting caught goldselling?

You gotta love the response from Daemon.

Hi,

This is first case of "gold disappearing" as far I as know.
A more detailed analysis has been conducted on this account, and we can conclude that there was no bug here.

Please refer to our Terms of Use to know the different sanctions we can take (we never remove gold from players)

Daemon.

Just a flat "no bug". Nothing more. Then lock the thread! :?

This is geting totally off topic now, but Dusith are you saying you and the other guy who lost all of his gold compared notes and decided that this addon may be the source of your lost gold?

Me and poster are connected to this addon. If Gms speak the truth, we might have a hacker viewtopic.php?f=63&t=21901

I looked at the code of that addon and it seems 100% harmless. It is a really small and efficient addon too.

It is of course not outside the realms of possibility that the author put up a version that tries to steal your gold for a short time. Download the latest version and compare it to the one you currently have installed. If there is a large block of code that you have that is missing from the latest version please let us know.

In fact, come to think of it, if you could zip and upload your entire addons folder somewhere it would be "easy" to find any potential API shenanigans.

EDIT: We really should discuss this issue in some other thread though. How about this one? viewtopic.php?f=6&t=22243&p=150475#p150475
