This thread is made the more relevant by the fact that mods locked the thread asking if DM farming is legit, or whether it would be considered bannable as an exploit given the techniques used to do it.

This is very disappointing because when we players do exactly as requested, and ask for clarification on whether something might be a problem, we get zero response even after a week. Just a locked thread so we can't keep bumping it and asking that it be answered.

Inb4 this thread gets locked too.

I was a little taken aback when I saw they locked the thread without answering it, all you had to say was yes or no then lock it. Not that hard but hey, I'm not a GM.

There is someone way up the chain who makes these calls and this person is very rarely accessible and most, if not all gms are unable to reply to "is this bannable?". Thus, threads that ask this very question and start to go out of control with bumping and complaining are simply locked. Until we have a decision from that special someone, we will be left in the dark.

They usually close those pointless circlejerk threads that just flat out waste their time. And to be fair, the way OP wrote it made it come off a sneak insult to GMs because of the bans that happened recently. "the crazy ban hammers" "you can't be too careful it seems on nostralrius" Come on man, 5 people were banned I'm sure they did their very best to come off as innocent, I know I would since they literally had nothing to lose and everything to win. Just sad to see how many people ate it raw.

Does DME farm involve an exploit? No. move on. Worst case scenario, they ninja fix it without banning anyone, like they did with tribute runs.

who even cares about the OP of that thread, there are a bunch of other player asking for clarification. and its not just about the DME farm its more the use of the commands /run ResetInstances(); /camp in that order to get teleported to the instance entrance.

and its also no pointless circlejerk, devs/gms told us to do, no?

The OP sets the direction of a thread, and from the very start he came off as little bitch tbh.

Anyways you (and everyone else for that matter) are allowed to think for yourself. "/run ResetInstances();" Is being used by pretty much everyone at level60, you're being irrational if you think they would ban everyone who uses it, the numbers would be in the thousands.
Besides, AFAIK they would have no way of tracking it, logging out while in a group has the exact same effect.
I personally don't even use the script when I farm DME, I just group invite an afk guildie/friend with LazyPig and log out. I think the staff would appreciate it if people think before they shitpost.

They banned people for using another feature of Lazypig. In that case it was a temp ban, only 10 days. ironically the GM investigating the issue thought that the players had created Lazypig specifically to exploit at first.

@Bazinga Ehmm does that mean you disagree? Most threads I've seen have continued down the path the OP sets, but if your personal experience is different then I can't argue about it.
Just like you can't argue about the fact that nostalrius staff would never ban thousands of people

I don't see how that has anything to do with this? Those guys used the addon to bypass an ingame restriction, regardless of it being "blizzlike" or not it was still a bit shady, but that's another discussion.
Them claiming it was made by those players explicitly to exploit was kinda silly though. :P
